The Future of Commerce Should Not Be Shaped Without Merchants at the Table

That belief is at the heart of Nordic Initiative.

Nordic Initiative is an independent, merchant-led Nordic platform where leading merchants and consumer-facing businesses come together to address the challenges that increasingly define the customer relationship – across AI and Agentic Commerce, payments, identity, loyalty, data and digital infrastructure.

Not simply to discuss what is changing.

But to identify where merchants need to act, where we need to collaborate – and where a stronger Nordic voice can help shape the European agenda.

On 28–29 October, we will bring this community together in Tromsø for The Nordic Summit 2026.

This year, one question sits at the centre of everything:

Who Will Shape the Customer Relationship in 2030?

Over two days, Nordic and European merchants will come together with the European Central Bank, Nordic central banks, technology leaders and other key parts of the ecosystem – moving from The New Customer Reality to Merchant Choice and Collective Action.

The ambition is not to leave Tromsø with another set of interesting conversations.

It is to leave with shared priorities – and concrete actions we can take forward together.

The Nordic Summit is by invitation only.

Over the coming weeks, we look forward to introducing some of the people, perspectives and ideas that will come together in Tromsø.
