From the Nordics to the World: Nordic Initiative at IATA Payment Day

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) plays a vital role in shaping the future of global aviation, bringing together over 300 airlines and key players in payments and commerce. On June 24, Nordic Initiative was honored to participate in IATA Payment Day.

We were invited to share the Nordic Initiative story - how a network sparked during the pandemic has grown into a powerful platform driving retail transformation across borders and sectors. With a shared belief in trust, co-creation, and concrete action, we’re shaping the future of retail by ensuring the Nordics have both a hand on the wheel and a seat at the table.

During the session, we walked through our journey - from our roots during COVID to today’s cross-industry engagement - highlighting our key cases for change, the progress we've made, and the momentum that comes from working together with purpose.

And we’re just getting started. In September, we’ll return to IATA to take a deeper dive into shared challenges and practical solutions. We're excited to continue the dialogue and expand our collective impact.
